The Illinois Springfield men's tennis team will compete at the Dwight Davis College Open this weekend at Forest Park in St. Louis, Mo. The tournament will feature singles play, with Prairie Stars competing across multiple flights throughout the weekend.

The Dwight Davis College Open marks UIS' second event of the fall season. The Prairie Stars most recently competed at the Drury Fall Invitational two weeks ago, where Kai Van-Roon claimed the men's singles title. Van-Roon will return to competition in Flight 6, with his quarterfinal match scheduled for Friday at 5:15 p.m.

Friday's opening round features Prairie Stars across five of six flights. In Flight 1, Matheus Taule and Colton Pazdera are scheduled to compete in the round of 16 at 4 p.m. Flight 2 also begins at 4 p.m., with Antonio Ayerbe Streubel and Ben Loeffler representing UIS.

In Flight 3, Juan Pablo Salazar, Luke Pennington and Lukas Pieringer will compete, while Heitor Souto, Jorge Roman and Miran Todorovic are scheduled for Flight 4 round-of-16 matches beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Consolation matches will also be played following the opening rounds. Play is scheduled to begin Friday at 4 p.m., continue throughout Saturday and conclude Sunday.
