Recent University of Illinois Springfield graduate Madelyn Miller-Ross has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Third Team.

Miller-Ross, a native of East Moline, Illinois, earned the first CSC Academic All-America honor of her career after graduating this spring with a 3.79 cumulative GPA in elementary education.

The Academic All-America program recognizes student-athletes for their combined achievements in competition and the classroom. To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

One of the most accomplished student-athletes in UIS history, Miller-Ross concluded her career as a multiple-time All-American and GLVC champion. During her senior season, she earned the GLVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year award for women's cross country and track & field, and was named the UIS Female Athlete of the Year.

Miller-Ross is one of six women's student-athletes from the Great Lakes Valley Conference to earn CSC Academic All-America recognition for the 2025-26 track & field/cross country season.
