Four members of the Illinois Springfield baseball team were recognized on the 2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-Region Teams, as announced Tuesday morning. Selections are determined by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and guided by the ABCA NCAA Division II All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.

Seth Masters – First Team Relief Pitcher
Masters earned First Team All-Region honors for the second time this postseason after a standout year in the Prairie Stars' bullpen. The senior posted a 2.36 ERA and notched 10 saves across 15 relief appearances. He struck out 30 batters in 26.2 innings and was named First Team All-GLVC and to the GLVC All-Tournament Team.

Ivan Dahlberg – First Team Catcher
Junior catcher Ivan Dahlberg continued his breakout campaign with First Team All-Region recognition. Dahlberg led UIS with 16 home runs and compiled a .344 batting average with a .500 on-base percentage. Defensively, he caught 10 runners stealing and played a pivotal role behind the plate. He also earned First Team All-GLVC and was named to the GLVC All-Tournament Team. This recognition completes his sweep of All-Region honors from the NCBWA, D2CCA, and ABCA. He was also named a D2CCA Honorable Mention All-American on Tuesday.

Mark Kattula – Second Team First Baseman
Kattula added another accolade to his resume with a Second Team All-Region selection. The First Team All-GLVC infielder turned in an 80-hit season while batting .384 with a .432 OBP. He tallied 19 doubles and 49 RBIs while also earning All-Region honors from each of the three major organizations.

Mark DeCicco – Second Team Starting Pitcher
DeCicco picked up his first All-Region honor as a Prairie Star after anchoring the rotation all season. The First Team All-GLVC selection went 7-4 with a 3.45 ERA, allowing just 25 earned runs over 62.2 innings pitched. He struck out 77 batters and held opposing hitters to a .188 batting average. A highlight of his season was a four-hit, nine-inning complete game in the GLVC Tournament, where he also earned All-Tournament honors.
