Congratulations to our alumni award recipients!
On Friday, February 23, our annual Alumni Gala took place to honor individuals for outstanding achievement and distinguished service. The Alumni Achievement Award for outstanding success and national or international distinction in one’s business, profession or life’s work was presented to Micah Bartlett. Bartlett earned his bachelor’s degree from the UIS College of Business and Management in 1995. The Distinguished Service Award for extraordinary commitment, dedication and service to the advancement of the University of Illinois was awarded to Karen Moranski. Moranski served UIS for 21 years as a professor, scholar and an administrator. Read more about the Alumni Gala and award recipients.

Thank you to everyone who attended the kickoff celebration on February 29! More than 250 UIS employees enjoyed delicious food, good company and learning about giving opportunities on campus from more than 35 different gift funds. Last year, a groundbreaking *53.4%* of our faculty and staff set a giving record, showcasing your belief in UIS as a worthy investment. Until March 31, we will use crowdfunding to amplify our impact even more. For questions regarding making changes to existing gift funds, creating new gift funds, or adjusting payroll deduction donations, contact Nicole White, the executive policy advisor.
Advancement Tip
Make Gift Giving Easy
Many donors prefer to donate online - either on their mobile phone or computer. Make donating easier for your donors! If your area has a gift fund, make sure you have a donation link on your web pages. This can be added by contacting the person in your unit who manages web page updates. You can also contact Ashley Earnest for more information.
