Sarah Adams, assistant director of admissions, has been named the University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Month for September 2026. 

Her nominator recognizes her as a crucial team member committed to ensuring students receive the best support during their college search and enrollment process. 

“She is confident, knowledgeable and able to answer almost every question asked to her,” her nominator said. 

Adams’ supervisor, Kathryn Kleeman, noted her dependability and willingness to place students first. 

“She is always willing to meet with families and students,” Kleeman said. “She will go to their school if they need her to. She has virtual appointments at least one evening each week.” 

Her reliability and proactive attitude have gained enormous praise from those around her.

“Sarah is really a rockstar. She anticipates issues and works proactively to solve them before they are noticed. I know that I can depend on her at any time,” Kleeman added.
