HDC Commitment to Student Success

The Department of Human Development Counseling is committed to supporting student success. Throughout their time in the program, students have opportunities to work closely with the community through their clinical experience, participation in the counseling honor society and professional organizations, graduate assistantships, and service learning across their curriculum.

Renae Calder shares her experience in the HDC program as an international student and a mother and the role of her graduate assistantship in making her education possible.

Counseling Center

All students are eligible for individual, group, and career counseling services at no cost from the professional staff in the Counseling Center.

HDC students are encouraged to participate in small group experiences and individual counseling to enhance their personal development.
