Katie enthusiastically works with donors, alumni, and friends of the College of Business and Management to enhance its scholarship and programming initiatives. She also truly enjoys traveling her territory in the "Greater Midwest" to connect with our amazing donors, alumni, and friends that reside in that territory. Katie also manages the women in philanthropy initiatives at the campus level and is passionate about increasing awareness about women's philanthropy. Prior to joining UIS's advancement team, Katie spent almost 14 years at the American Cancer Society working as fundraiser, cancer educator, and advocate for local cancer patient services. While working at the American Cancer Society, Katie started the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Springfield, Coaches vs. Cancer's Most Wanted campaign in Champaign, and Real Men Wear Pink Springfield campaign. Katie enjoys volunteering in the local community and is currently involved with IWIL and is a Co-Chair for the St. Aloysius's PTO.
