Social Justice Academy: Working Toward Educational Equity Workshop
The Social Justice Academy: Working toward Educational Equity workshop will acquaint participants with the latest research on the need for educational equity and cultural responsive classrooms, to guide participants in creating their own culturally responsive classrooms and schools, and to guide participants in the development of strategies to advocate for their own students.
Work-Life Integration Workshop
This workshop will acquaint participants with the latest research on work/life integration and how to manage the important aspects of their lives. Working toward Work-Life Integration will engage participants during the training through analysis, discovery, and application of the latest research on the elements of life: work, community, wellness, and home.
Open Educational Resources in the K-12 Classroom – ISBE OER Microcredential
This 8-week course is an introduction to Open Educational Resources (OER) for K12 environments. Participants will explore, evaluate, and select OER for use in their classrooms. Participants will discuss topics related to OER benefits, challenges, trends, and issues. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will earn 30 Professional Development hours and a badge that will be included on their Illinois Professional Educator License.
