Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Taking place in April Sexual Assault Awareness Month is a time dedicated to supporting survivors and educating campus on how to recognize and prevent sexual violence. Take Back the Night takes place in mid-to-late April as part of the month.
R.A.D. Women’s Self Defense Training
UIS Police in partnership with the Women’s Center offer twice yearly RAD training in Women’s Self Defense. Priority is given to current UIS Students, Faculty, and Staff. Please see below for current sign-up information:
This is a four part training taking place on Tuesday nights, from 5:30 – 8:30pm. It is important that you are able to attend all four nights to gain all of the benefits of the training. The first night is mandatory in order to continue in the training.
You must RSVP for RAD training.
AAUW Work Smart Salary Negotiation Workshops
The Career Development Center, Women’s Center, and Diversity Center are proud to present AAUW’s Work Smart salary negotiation workshops on our campus. From the AAUW website:
