The Women’s Center exists to provide intersectional programming and support for diverse identities and lived experiences within our campus community.

The UIS Women’s Center supports all students by creating inclusive, welcoming spaces that encourage connection, learning, and empowerment. Through intersectional programming, resources, and advocacy, we recognize and honor the diverse identities and lived experiences within our campus community. The Women’s Center is committed to ensuring that every student feels valued, supported, and encouraged to engage fully in our programs, services, and community—regardless of background or identity.

In alignment with our mission to foster a supportive environment for all students that values and encourages individuals of all backgrounds and identities to engage with our programs and initiatives, no individuals will be excluded from full and equal participation in the activities, services, and functions of this program based on their identification as a member of a protected class. We welcome the participation of all members of the UIS Community as their interests and our programs align.

The Women’s Center is located in the Student Life Building Room 15 and is generally open 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday.
