We provide leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, and administration of academic employment policies and procedures to support UIS units, academic employees, and the University community.
Academic Human Resources (AHR) staff in the Provost’s Office provide leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, and administration of academic employment policies and procedures to support UIS units, academic employees, and the University community; as well as training, strategic expert advice, information, and data collection and analysis on academic human resources issues. We review and process academic appointments, and coordinate Board of Trustees approval items. AHR staff are also responsible for administering security for university business applications in the Academic Affairs Division and preparing strategic management and decision-making reports.
