Description

This is an overview of approaches to holistically support online students through a high-touch/high-tech approach. Participants will learn the scope of online student services and the importance of developing effective remotely delivered services to improve student success and retention rates. The participants will learn best practices in the early development of online programs, preparing students, ongoing support, and support after graduation or program completion.

Outcomes

As a result of completing course activities and interacting in discussion forums, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the complex range of student support services as it relates to online learning.
  • Understand the issues, concerns, strategies, and best practices as it relates to supporting students online.
  • Able to craft a plan to support students from enrollment to alumni in your program.
