8 Week Course/Instructor Led/Weekly Modules/Earn a Digital Credential
This course introduces an eight-week course about completing a process. In order to do this, you are going to demonstrate 4 skill sets important to teaching online successfully. We will also take time to build upon our own online communication/facilitation skills in this program. The following is a very general overview of the course while specific requirements and assignments for each module will be detailed in the course itself. As there is no required textbook for this course, recommended readings will be available online.
The Practicum is the final course in the Master Online Teacher (MOT) certificate program. The course is instructor-led, eight weeks long, and fully online. Practicum participants will work with a small group of peers and one instructor to develop or improve an online course.

- Demonstrate that you can facilitate a discussion on a topic of your choice related to online learning, and actively participate in the facilitations of your course mates.
- Demonstrate that you can apply solid instructional design practices as you either improve an existing online course or add structure to a future course you are designing.
- Demonstrate that you can give meaningful feedback by providing peer evaluations on your classmates’ Instructional Design Projects.
- Reflect on what you have learned in our program through an end-of-the-course reflection.
