2023 IEW is November 13th to 17th
Colleges and universities all across the US celebrate International Education Week! IEW is a joint initiative of the US Department of State and the US Department of Education “to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.”
NAFSA: Association of International Educators is sponsoring several events and resources that may interest you. Here on campus, we encourage all faculty and staff to recognize the unique contributions that those coming to UIS to study, teach, and participate in our community make to our life together. You can see IEW 2023 activities at UIS online.
Several opportunities have been organized to help you to do that. There is certainly no academic discipline that has not been enriched by experts in the field from outside the US. This week would be a good time to highlight some of those in your classrooms.
