The UIS volleyball team opened the Midwest Region Crossover with a strong performance on Friday, winning both of their matches. They first defeated Ohio Dominican in four sets and then completed a dramatic five-set reverse sweep against Purdue Northwest, improving their record to 13-5 overall and 8-2 in neutral site matches.

The Illinois Springfield women's cross country team is set to compete at the Bradley Pink Classic this Friday, Oct. 18, at Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Ill. Following their recent outing at the Lewis Crossover, the Prairie Stars are eager to close out the regular season against a field of teams from NCAA DI, DII, and DIII. The Bradley Pink Classic welcomes teams from all divisions, with two races scheduled for both men and women. UIS will be racing a partial squad in the Women's White Race (B Race), starting at 2:15 p.m.

The UIS women's soccer team faces a tough road test this weekend against two of the GLVC's top teams. The Prairie Stars will take on McKendree Friday at 5:00 p.m. and No. 12 Maryville on Sunday at noon.
