    UIS Men’s Tennis Defeats Chicago State

    The Illinois Springfield men's tennis team earned an impressive win over Division I opponent Chicago State on Friday in fall action.
The Prairie Stars claimed the doubles point after winning two of three matchups. Lin En Tan and Antonio Ayerbe Streubel fell in a close 6-4 contest at No. 1 doubles, but Pablo Herrera and Kai Van-Roon answered with a 6-4 win at No. 2. UIS also secured the No. 3 doubles match by default, as Chicago State did not field a team.

    UIS Women’s Soccer Earns Road Win at Lincoln

    The Illinois Springfield women's soccer team earned its first GLVC win of the season on Friday night, defeating Lincoln 2-0 on the road. The Prairie Stars (2-6-3, 1-5-2 GLVC) snapped a four-match losing streak behind goals from Mallory Herber and Reese Lowery.

    The UIS men's soccer team battled nationally ranked No. 20 Lincoln to a 1-1 draw Saturday, demonstrating the Prairie Stars' competitiveness as they enter the second half of the GLVC slate. UIS is now 2-6-3 overall and 1-5-2 in conference play.

    October 14: Windows 10 End of Life

    As a reminder, Windows 10 will reach end of life on October 14 2025, and all university-owned Windows computers will need to be running Windows 11 before then. Computers running Windows 10 after October 14th will not be allowed on the network. If you are running Windows 10 on your university-owned computer, please reach out to ITS Client Services to schedule an upgrade. (If you have selected a new computer in our fall round of the Desktop Refresh Program, you do not need to schedule an upgrade for your current computer.)  |
