Bartletti Named GLVC Pitcher of the Week

Junior pitcher Rosie Bartletti was named GLVC Pitcher of the Week after throwing 17.2 innings with 20 strikeouts over two road starts to close the regular season.
Bartletti tossed a complete-game win at Upper Iowa on Saturday, allowing just six hits and one unearned run with six strikeouts. She followed with a dominant outing at Lewis, keeping the Flyers hitless and scoreless through six innings before finishing with 10.2 innings pitched, 14 strikeouts, and just two earned runs in an extra-inning loss.

Now in its third year, the competition saw an impressive increase in student participation and school engagement.

Throughout the year, UIS alumni, employees and friends make contributions to the UIS Fund, the overall unrestricted gift fund for UIS. This fund provides maximum flexibility in advancing UIS.

UIS to celebrate commencement during three ceremonies on May 9 and 10

The University of Illinois Springfield will hold its 54th annual commencement during three ceremonies in the UIS Performing Arts Center’s Sangamon Auditorium on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10. A total of 1,071 students will participate in the ceremony out of the 1,587 students who are eligible to graduate.
