Taylor Durham of Riverton, Illinois has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2024 and awarded a $12,000 Star Scholar Award for tuition over four years. The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements. Durham plans to major in accountancy. |

UHB Hot Water Heating Repairs: Repairs to the UHB hot water heating system are planned for the week of May 13. There will be no interruption to the domestic water system (drinking fountains, sinks, and toilets). During this time, you may notice ladders, tools, and equipment in the hallways and common areas, as well as the temporary removal of ceiling tiles to facilitate access to the piping system. |

The University of Illinois Springfield will hold its 53rd annual commencement during three ceremonies in the UIS Performing Arts Center’s Sangamon Auditorium on Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11. A total of 1,051 students will participate in the ceremonies out of the 1,625 students who are eligible to graduate. |
