Dear Members of the UIS Community: On April 19, 2024, the U.S. Department of Education issued new Title IX regulations. At UIS, the Access & Equity Office (“AEO”) coordinates the implementation of human and civil rights laws, including Title IX. As your Title IX Coordinator, I am reaching out today to outline what our next steps will be in response to these regulations, as well as to assure you of our ongoing commitment to fostering an environment free from all forms of sexual violence, harassment, and discrimination. |

Led by advisor Sevilay Onal, assistant professor of management, marketing and operations, the team secured awards in every category of their division. |
Addelyne Nehmelman awarded a $12,000 scholarship to attend the University of Illinois Springfield

Addelyne Nehmelman of Delavan, Illinois has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2024 and awarded a $12,000 Star Scholar Award for tuition over two years. The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed if the student maintains college GPA requirements. |
