Illinois Springfield junior tennis student-athlete Pablo Herrera has been named to the First Team All-GLVC for the second straight season, the league office announced Thursday afternoon.

UIS senior Carmen Llopis Fabra has been named a unanimous First Team All-GLVC selection, earning the third all-conference honor of her career. The Castellon, Spain native has put together a dominant spring season, going 5-0 in GLVC singles play and recently climbing from No. 73 to a season-best No. 51 in the ITA national singles rankings. Her GLVC singles wins included a key victory over the No. 25-ranked player from Indianapolis in the final week of the regular season.

The Illinois Springfield baseball team hits the road for its final regular season series, visiting in-state conference foe McKendree for four games beginning Thursday. The series opens at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, followed by a Friday doubleheader starting at 12:00 p.m., and a Saturday finale at 12 :00 p.m. 

The University of Illinois Springfield is excited to announce that Homecoming Week 2025 will take place September 14–20, featuring a full slate of events for students, alumni, and Prairie Stars fans. UIS women's and men's soccer teams will host William Jewell College in conference matchups on Friday, September 19, with kickoff times set for 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The UIS volleyball team will also be in action that weekend, hosting a home tournament at TRAC. One of Saturday's matches will be designated as the official Homecoming game.
