UIS Theatre presents Student Directed Scenes

The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) Theatre Program invitees the public to attend Student Directed Scenes, an interesting variety pack of scenes from contemporary American plays. Student Directed Scenes offers two opportunities to view students’ final projects in the course Directing for the Theatre (THE 476). Student Directed Scenes will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 and Friday, Dec. 2 in the Studio Theatre, located on the lower level of the Public Affairs Center building at UIS. Admission is free. |
Natacia Vicenteno of Chicago awarded a $8,000 scholarship from the University of Illinois Springfield

Natacia Vicenteno of Chicago, a senior at Alcott High School for the Humanities, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2023 and awarded a $8,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over two years. At UIS, she will major in pre-nursing. The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of two years if the student maintains college GPA requirements. At Alcott High School, she is involved in art club and GSA-Gay Straight Alliance. |
