UIS Volleyball Hosts Final Home Weekend, Senior Day Saturday

The Illinois Springfield volleyball team wraps up its home schedule this weekend with a pair of matches at TRAC. The Prairie Stars face Upper Iowa on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and Truman State on Saturday at 3:00 p.m., with Saturday's match also serving as Senior Day for Bella Hodges, Erica Sledge, Alexis Schwartz, and Lexie Vick.

This annual fundraising event features a diverse collection of original art, reproductions, decorative objects and crafts donated by artists and community supporters. This year’s auction will be held both online and in person, making it easy for collectors and supporters across the region to take part. |

Registration is now open for the UIS-BOS Turkey Trot 5K on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025! Join us on the UIS campus for a fun-filled race to support the UIS Cross Country and Track & Field Program.
The race begins at 8:00 a.m. at The Recreation and Athletic Center (TRAC) and welcomes runners, walkers, and families to kick off Thanksgiving Day with a fun and active tradition.

UIS Student-Athletes Make Over 1,000 Sandwiches on Civic Engagement Day

University of Illinois Springfield student-athletes came together to make a difference on Civic Engagement Day, assembling more than 1,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for PB&J Springfield, a local organization that provides food to community members in need throughout Springfield.
Student-athletes from multiple UIS teams joined forces for the project, which was organized by UIS Athletics and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). The event is part of the department's ongoing commitment to service and community involvement.
