GLVC play resumes for baseball and softball, while men's and women's golf, as well as track and field, are in the heart of their regular seasons. The tennis teams are on a break before beginning their GLVC schedule in mid-April, and women's soccer continues spring scrimmages. The UIS women's golf team returns to action Monday and Tuesday at the Flyers Spring Invitational, hosted by Lewis at Cantigny Golf Club in Wheaton, Ill. The Prairie Stars were recently ranked 18th in the Midwest region, putting them inside the 18-team cut for a potential regional appearance this spring. UIS will compete in a 12-team field featuring East region opponents, along with GLVC foes Drury, Maryville, McKendree, Lewis, Quincy, and William Jewell.
