The Illinois Springfield men's track and field team turned in a strong performance at the Jim Vargo Invitational on Friday evening, earning 11 top-10 finishes before the remainder of the meet was canceled due to inclement weather.

The Illinois Springfield baseball team opened its series against Upper Iowa with authority on Friday afternoon, rolling to a 15-2 run-rule win to improve to 18-10 overall and 11-5 in GLVC play.

UIS softball is at home this week in GLVC play against Maryville and McKendree. Maryville visits on Sunday for a 12:00 p.m. doubleheader. The Prairie Stars' doubleheader against McKendree, originally scheduled for Saturday, will now be played on Monday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m. Illinois Springfield (22-13, 10-6 GLVC)

The UIS women's track and field team is set to compete at the Jim Vargo Invite in Louisville this weekend, with the action beginning at 4:15 p.m. Central on Friday and continuing at 11:00 a.m. Central on Saturday. Entries On Friday evening, Emma Leahy and Marissa Roggensack will race in the 1500 meters, followed by Lillian Buzani, Josslyn Gaona, Kaleigh Inniss, and Jordan Serrahn in the 5,000 meters.
