Janet L. Gooch introduced as the new UIS Chancellor

Janet L. Gooch, the newly named University of Illinois Springfield Chancellor Designate and Vice President Designate of the University of Illinois, was welcomed to campus on April 19, 2022, during an introductory event in the Student Union Ballroom. Gooch will officially take over as the leader of UIS on July 1. Gooch is currently the the executive vice president for academic affairs and provost at Truman State University. Grace Kadyk of Sherman awarded a $14,000 scholarship from the University of Illinois Springfield

Grace Kadyk of Sherman, a senior at Williamsville High School, has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2022 and awarded a $14,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over two years. At UIS, she will major in pre-nursing. The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of two years if the student maintains college GPA requirements. At Williamsville High School, she is involved in vocal jazz, madrigals and choir. |
