Robert Weis has been named the University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Month for October 2022. He is the coordinator and advisor for Engaged Learning and Partner Initiatives in the UIS Office of Engaged Learning (OEL). Weis’ nominator calls him “an amazing collaborator” who is able to work across campus and in the Springfield community to support the professional development of UIS students through internships and other employment opportunities. |

UIS to host a History Harvest in order to digitize items from “The Great Road Trip”

WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield History Department invites members of the public to bring memories, photos, souvenirs and memorabilia from their travels both recent and long-ago to “The Great Road Trip” History Harvest. UIS students will photograph or scan the items for inclusion in an online digital archive and exhibit. Participation in the event is free. WHEN: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022 |
