Government contracts have recently attracted much attention from researchers and the public because of the US government's significant spending on goods and services. In this study, we investigate whether audit fees are associated with audit clients' government contracts. We find that firms with a higher proportion of government sales to total sales pay higher audit fees than other firms. Our further analysis shows the audit premium is driven mainly by the federal government and local government contracts.

The Office of Campus Relations will be hosting two Open Photo Studio sessions for Spring 2023 for all staff or faculty. The photos can be used for university purposes such as department websites, campus directory, speaking engagements at conferences, etc. Any staff or faculty member who either hasn’t had their portrait taken or would like another, more recent, portrait taken are encouraged to attend.

In 1998, UIS launched its first online program with the goal of giving students an opportunity to learn in a flexible manner. At the time, UIS was one of only a few institutions that offered online education in the United States.
