UIS Attends Doane University Tournament

SPRINGFIELD, IL (February 20, 2023) – UIS Speech and Debate recently attended the Feline Frolic Tournament hosted by Doane University in Crete, NE. This tournament featured competition from twenty-five universities from around the country. Returning team member Clark Morgan represented UIS in impromptu speaking. "The team continues to get better and better with each competition. We're always learning more about our events and perfecting our techniques and approaches" says Director of Speech and Debate Timothy Bill. |
UIS Warms Up at Hot Cocoa Classic

SPRINGFIELD, IL (February 6, 2023) – The spring semester of competition for the UIS Speech and Debate Team began this past week at a competition hosted virtually by the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. UIUC hosted their annual competition entitled the Hot Cocoa Classic this year. The tournament involved nineteen schools representing nine different states. Returning competitor Clark Morgan entered impromptu speaking at this competition and placed 5th. |
