All faculty and staff are invited to attend the UIS Performing Arts Center Spooktacular Open House from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30.

This year, prepare to be thrilled by a variety of behind-the-scenes experiences and ghostly libations that promises an adult trick or treat like no other! Come and go as you like, but don't miss out on this eerie evening of enchantment!

The University of Illinois Springfield Theatre Program will present six performances of “The Thanksgiving Play” by Larissa FastHorse opening on Friday, Oct. 27 in the Studio Theatre, located on the lower level of the Public Affairs Center at UIS.

All shows will begin at 7:30 p.m., except the Sunday performance (Oct. 29), which will begin at 2 p.m. Opening weekend performance dates include Oct. 27-29. The following week, the play will be performed Nov. 2-4.

Reading is a skill that we assume most of our students have, but the truth of the matter is that they often need support to ensure they’re reading critically and not passively.
