Please be advised that mandated inspections of the campus fire sprinkler systems are scheduled for the upcoming week of December 18th.

The systems in the following buildings are slated for inspection:

The University of Illinois Springfield has enhanced its Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program to better meet the needs of adult learners who aspire to complete their college degree. These updates will make it easier for adult learners, particularly those with some previously earned college credit but no degree, to realize their educational and career aspirations.

Zach Logsdon has been named the University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Month for December 2023. He is an IT technical associate for UIS Information Technology Services.

Logsdon played an integral role in the launch of the new UIS Esports Arena. His supervisor, Kara McElwrath, adds “He goes above and beyond to make sure that user needs are met and offers not just a solution to the problem at hand but also alternatives to provide flexibility.”

Dear Colleagues, 

Bob Smith has decided to resign from his position of Dean of the College of Public Affairs and Education effective Wednesday, December 20, 2023 and will be moving to the position of full professor within the School of Public Management and Policy with teaching responsibilities beginning in the fall 2024 semester.

Hello campus faculty and staff:

There are multiple versions of file supplies, three-ring binders, and other useful supplies located in UHB 1054. Our goal is to have the excess supplies moved from that space as soon as possible. If you have use for any of the items listed below, please remove, and take possession of them by Friday, December 15, 2023. The space will be open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Otherwise, on Monday we will begin the surplus and disposal process for the remaining items.
