Zach Logsdon named the UIS Employee of the Month for December 2023

Zach Logsdon has been named the University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Month for December 2023. He is an IT technical associate for UIS Information Technology Services. Logsdon played an integral role in the launch of the new UIS Esports Arena. His supervisor, Kara McElwrath, adds “He goes above and beyond to make sure that user needs are met and offers not just a solution to the problem at hand but also alternatives to provide flexibility.” |

Office Supplies Available in UHB 1054

Hello campus faculty and staff: There are multiple versions of file supplies, three-ring binders, and other useful supplies located in UHB 1054. Our goal is to have the excess supplies moved from that space as soon as possible. If you have use for any of the items listed below, please remove, and take possession of them by Friday, December 15, 2023. The space will be open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Otherwise, on Monday we will begin the surplus and disposal process for the remaining items. |

A Cook County judge has overturned the wrongful murder conviction of Brian Beals, who spent 35 years incarcerated for a crime he did not commit. The dismissal of all charges against Beals marks the end of a legal battle that began in 1988 when he was wrongly accused of murdering a 6-year-old boy in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood. |
