As part of UIS' "Exploring Graduate School" week, Public Affairs Reporting director Jason Piscia this week hosted a presentation highlighting the financial, educational and professional advantages of our 10-month master's degree program that focuses on journalism about politics and government. Piscia also interviews Ben Szalinski, a 2021 PAR graduate who is now a legislative reporter with The Daily Line, a political newsletter based in Chicago. The University of Illinois Springfield Visual Arts Gallery is pleased to present “Consider a Disappearance,” an exhibition by Chicago-based artist and experimental filmmaker Ruby Que. “Consider a Disappearance” will open on Monday, Feb. 12 and run through Thursday, March 7. An opening reception will be held at the gallery from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15. |
