The UIS golf program has announced the addition of Assistant Coach Julie Hofmanova. She has joined Head Coach Michael Leotta on the coaching staff. "I am really excited to have Julie on our staff," said Head Golf Coach Michael Leotta. "Her experience, energy, and personality really stood out in our process. She's a great fit for us here and will have a positive impact for both programs on and off the course."

The UIS women's basketball team announced its schedule for the 2024-25 season on Friday. First-year head coach Olivia Lett will lead the Prairie Stars through a regular-season slate of 13 home games and 15 away games.  "We're excited to get the season started," said Coach Lett. "We hope to build on last season's success and get the Springfield community excited about UIS women's basketball!"

The UIS men's basketball program has released its schedule for the 2024-25 season, featuring 20 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) games and 9 non-conference matchups. Head Coach Matt Brock, entering his sixth season with a 71-66 record, will lead the Prairie Stars through a competitive slate.

The Illinois Springfield volleyball team split a pair of matches in Owensboro, Ky. on Friday. UIS opened the day with their first loss of the season, falling in straight sets with scores of 25-17, 25-22, and 25-23. In their match against Kentucky Wesleyan, Illinois Springfield secured a decisive 25-21, 25-19, 25-21 victory.
