The Provost’s Office sponsors and/or coordinates multiple UIS funding opportunities for faculty. Read more about each of the programs below.
| Scholarly Presentation Support Program (SPSP) | Individual faculty members may request up to $600 per year in Scholarly Presentation Support funds to be applied toward registration and usual travel-related expenses such as transportation, lodging, and per diem. | Grant Writing Mentorship Program | This program is designed to support new grant writers by matching them with mentors to assist them in submitting competitive proposals to external funding sources. The deadline to apply is April 19, 2024. You can find more information about the mentorship program online. Submit your application through the grant writing mentorship program application form. |
| Competitive Scholarly Research Grant Program (CSRG) – FY2024 cycle open | The Competitive Scholarly Research Grants Program provides support to faculty engaging in scholarly/creative research. Grants of up to $5,000 will be made in support of scholarly research activities.
