Our Human Resource Management program equips students with essential skills and knowledge in key HR areas, including employment law, staffing, performance and compensation management. The curriculum emphasizes the strategic role of HR and labor relations in shaping organizational success, preparing students to become influential leaders in the field.
Students will develop professional writing and communication skills tailored to staffing and recruitment, training and performance management and negotiation. The program also emphasizes a global perspective, enabling students to analyze organizational issues, devise effective HR solutions and assess their outcomes.
With a focus on HR data analytics and information systems, the program ensures graduates are proficient in leveraging technology to drive informed decision-making and organizational growth. The admissions to the on-campus MSHRM program are temporarily suspended for Fall 26/Spring 27. This program is offered online.

Submit required statements/writing sample
If you are a first-year student, a statement of 250-650 words is required for admission. We want to hear about your professional aspirations, intellectual interests, and personal experiences relevant to your choice of a specific academic program. Pay your application fee
You can submit your non-refundable application fee online, after completing the online application. Alternately, it can also be mailed to the university, payable to University of Illinois Springfield.
