SAGE Society

The Alumni SAGE Society is a group of University of Illinois Springfield/Sangamon State University alumni and friends ages 50 and better. The group offers opportunities for Service, Action, Growth and Enrichment, as alumni and friends connect and reconnect with one another and the University community.

The Alumni SAGE Society and the Illinois State Historical Society partner to provide thought-provoking, expert-led Lunch & Learn programs each fall and spring. These lunch-time programs include a hot lunch, and new and interesting topics each session.

Illinois Connection Advocacy Network

Illinois Connection is the University of Illinois Alumni Alliance’s legislative advocacy network. Its mission: to gain greater federal and state support for the University of Illinois’s three campuses as well as their interests. By increasing awareness and understanding of the U of I’s positive impact on the state, nation and world, Illinois Connection advocates help to ensure the University’s legacy and longevity.

Volunteer and Civic Engagement

Opportunity to present on leadership and service to first-year students in the Leadership for Life service program. We also welcome professionals with experience in one of our five areas of service: youth and education, hunger and homelessness, public health, community awareness, and sustainability.

Sangamon Auditorium Volunteer Association

Join a trained corps of more than 235 volunteer ushers to greet, direct, assist and ensure the safety and comfort of patrons attending performances and other events at Sangamon Auditorium and the Studio Theatre.
