Requirements

  • Must be a UIS undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing.
  • Students must have successfully completed at least 1 full year/2 semesters (24 credits) at UIS.
  • Must have at least a 2.50 GPA.

  • UIS students are nominated for exchange for the Fall, Spring or Academic Year.
    • Spring Semester: March – June
    • Fall Semester: September – December
  • SKKU also has an excellent summer program and winter program, which while they are outside of the exchange agreement, the short-term programs are very affordable.

Housing

  • Exchange students are encouraged to apply for on-campus housing.
  • International students are typically housed together in the international student dormitories.
  • It is common for multiple students to be housed per room.

  • Exchange students are charged UIS tuition and fees.
  • Students are responsible for transportation, housing and meals on exchange.

Passport & Visa

  • Students will require a passport to participate on this program. For assistance securing a U.S. Passport, visit Travel.State.Gov.
  • U.S. citizens require a visa in order to participate in this program. 
  • After acceptance into the program, students follow instructions from the host university to apply for the visa.
