What is Assurance of Student Learning Day?

ASLD is a collaborative forum to share, reflect, and strengthen our collective efforts in advancing student learning, assessment practices, and high-impact experiences across programs.

Submit a Proposal or Nominate a Colleague

Faculty and staff from across UIS can present 5-7-minute Lightning Talks on topics such as:

• Revising an assignment based on rubric results
• Aligning assessment work with accreditation standards
• Demonstrating learning and success in high-impact practices
• Using data to improve engagement outcomes

This year, Lightning Talks will be grouped into two themes: 1) From Assessment to Action, which focuses on using assessment to lead to meaningful change, and 2) Student Learning Everywhere, which focuses on student learning that takes place outside of the classroom.

The proposal consists of a title, abstract, and two learning outcomes. The link below also can be used to nominate a colleague(s) who is doing good assessment-related work that you believe others would benefit from hearing about.
