The UIS Jazz Ensemble is available to UIS students, faculty and staff, and community members. A traditional big band, the ensemble performs a wide variety of jazz repertoire including classic standards, new compositions, and exciting and innovative arrangements. The Jazz Ensemble gives at least one major performance each semester and often performs in the community.
How to Join
UIS students interested in joining the UIS Jazz Ensemble for course credit can register for MUS 105/305 D Instrumental Ensemble: Jazz Ensemble.
Community musicians and UIS musicians interested in joining the UIS Band without enrolling for course credit should fill out a brief information form. Participation is welcome by musicians 12+.
