Master of Business Administration
The MBA at UIS is a generalist degree that provides career building opportunities for persons in all walks of life. Students will master contemporary management theory and practice in: accounting, finance, information systems, marketing, operations management, and organizational behavior.
The MBA is a blended format and consists of 12 courses–8 core courses and 4 electives. Most core courses meet week nights on the UIS campus. Electives are offered in a variety of ways including online, blended, and on campus–weeknights and weekends.
An MBA Cohort is offered in downtown Peoria on weekends. A new Cohort begins every fall.
Graduate Certificates are available in:
- Applied Finance
- Healthcare Management
- Human Resource Management
- Operations and Supply Chain Management
- Management Information Systems
With no extra course work, MBA students can add a Graduate Certificate.
MBA students may apply to the Graduate Public Service Internship (GPSI) Program. Internships provide tuition and stipends while students work 20 hours per week and enroll as full-time students. Graduate Assistantships also provide tuition and stipends. Read about MBA students with GPSI internships.
Three Peoria MBA students were recently recognized for their achievements in the ETS Major Field Test used across the USA by more than 3,000 higher education programs to assess students’ knowledge in specific disciplines. The following students were ranked among the top 10% to 2% of graduate business students in the USA.
