The Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting prepares students for well-paying positions in both business and government.In the classroom We recognize that the contemporary accountant is the genius behind all intelligent business decisions and is frequently an executive’s most trusted advisor.

The degree focuses on standard business practices and latest developments in the business world. In addition to the comprehensive BBA, concentrations within the BBA are available in marketing, finance, management, and sport management.

The BBA with a Management Concentration prepares students to become organizational leaders, in the sense that today’s organizations need leaders at all levels, not just at the top.
Masters of Business Administration (MBA)

Masters of Business Administration (MBA)

The MBA at UIS is a generalist degree that provides career building opportunities for persons in all walks of life. Students will master contemporary management theory and practice in: accounting, finance, information systems, marketing, operations management, and organizational behavior.

Economics, B.A.

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics prepares students for well-paying positions in both business and government. Economists work in all facets of the business world, including banking, insurance, mining, manufacturing, and retailing.

Information Systems, B.S., M.S.

We currently offer a Bachelor of Science Degree Program in MIS as well as a concentration in Health Care Informatics, a Master of Science Degree Program in MIS, a minor at the undergraduate level in Management Information Systems and three Graduate Certificates in the areas of Business Process management, IT Project Management, and Business Intelligence. You have the option of taking all your courses online, on-campus, or some online and some on-campus courses.

Faculty in the News

  • Dr. Neetu Singh has successfully completed the Master Online Teacher (MOT) certificate in Summer 2019 from ION professional eLearning Programs. This professional certificate confirms the competencies of a master online teacher related to instructions, instructional design, student assessment, universal design principles, encouraging communication, and effective online course design.
  • Dr. Hasan Kartal received the SAP Global Certification as an associate application consulted of SAP Predictive Analytics. The certification validates that the candidate possesses the knowledge required of the SAP consultant profile and has the in‐depth technical skills including the capabilities of SAP Predictive Analytics to participate in a project team and provide insights into business analytics challenges.
