Wildlife Reminder

Spotting a fawn around this time on campus is not uncommon. Please do not approach them - they are fine and do not need assistance. The mother is typically nearby, searching for food and will return soon.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

In partnership with Springfield’s City Water, Light and Power (CWLP), UIS has added four electric vehicle charging ports in Lot I North near TRAC. Each station features a 240-volt Level 2 charger, providing approximately 25–35 miles of driving range per hour of charging. Charging rates are set by CWLP, which also owns and maintains the stations at no cost to the university.

As of June 16, Dr. Steven Johnson Jr. is serving as the Interim Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (Designate), following the departure of former Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Dr. Jamarco Clark
