The UIS General Education Curriculum:
- Offers a new and distinctive program that is based on best practices in higher education
- Is taught by dedicated, caring teacher-scholars, most of whom are full-time faculty at UIS
- Consists of disciplinary and interdisciplinary course work that further UIS General Education Learning Outcomes
- Serves students coming to UIS at any stage of their undergraduate education
