The UIS women's soccer team continues its conference slate this weekend with a road swing through Missouri. The Prairie Stars face Rockhurst on Friday night in Kansas City before traveling to Bolivar to take on Southwest Baptist on Sunday afternoon.

Brandon Derman, associate professor of environmental sciences at the University of Illinois Springfield, has been named University Scholar for 2025. This prestigious award, the highest faculty honor from the University of Illinois System, recognizes outstanding teaching and scholarship. Only one faculty member receives the award annually at UIS.

Prairie Stars Place Third at Kansas City Cup

The Illinois Springfield women's golf team finished third at the Kansas City Cup after Tuesday's final round was canceled due to rain and unplayable course conditions. The event was held at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Mo.
