UIS Visual Arts senior group exhibition “OVER/LOOK” considers the past and looks to the future

The University of Illinois Springfield Visual Arts Gallery presents “OVER/LOOK,” a mixed media exhibition of works by graduating seniors from the UIS Visual Arts Department. “OVER/LOOK” will open on Monday, April 25 and run through Thursday, May 12. A reception will be held in the UIS Visual Arts Gallery from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, April 28. This event is free and open to the public. |

On February 2, 2021, the Green Fee Committee approved 11 new sustainable projects! These new efforts, submitted by UIS students, faculty, and staff, are a refreshing sight amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. They will begin to be implemented throughout the Spring 2021 semester. Eric Kuchar named the UIS Employee of the Month for April 2022

Eric Kuchar has been named the University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Month for April 2022. He is the assistant to the dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Kuchar’s nominator says he “consistently demonstrates outstanding performance” and always goes “above and beyond” the tasks for his job to help out whenever needed. “He is the first one coming in and the last one to leave the office,” said Lan Dong, his supervisor and interim dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. |
