"Mike Hermann was announced as the new University of Illinois Springfield athletic director on Thursday.

Hermann, who will take over June 17 following approval by the board of trustees, is wrapping up his third year as the senior associate athletic director for external operations at University of the Pacific in California.

Tomorrow, August 20, Parking Lot I will be closed to campus for parking due to Student Move-In Day.

Only on this date, Parking Lot F may be utilized as an alternate parking lot.

"It seems students have been having issues with the new FAFSA this year ever since it became available in January.

Delays, however, in the FAFSA process are leaving some students in limbo especially heading into the summer months when deciding where to go to school.

There have been many complaints about students not receiving as much money as well as experiencing delays when it comes to receiving financial awards.
