The UIS softball team wrapped up its weekend at the Music City Classic with a competitive showing, pushing No. 17 Trevecca Nazarene to extra innings before falling 2-1, then closing out play with a 6-1 win over Ashland. The Prairie Stars finished the weekend with a 3-1 record.

Bartletti and McClure Earn Wins as UIS Softball Starts Season 2-0

The UIS softball team kicked off its season at the Music City Classic in Smyrna, Tenn., on Friday, securing victories over Cedarville and Ohio Dominican. The Prairie Stars took control late in both games, defeating Cedarville 6-2 in their opener before pulling away for a 7-3 win over Ohio Dominican.
