The UIS women's tennis team picked up its first win of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Lewis 4-3 in Romeoville. With the victory, the Prairie Stars move to 1-9 overall and 1-2 in GLVC play, with three of five conference matches now in the books.

The Illinois Springfield men's golf team is set to compete in the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship on April 20-22 at Silo Ridge Golf & Country Club in Bolivar, Mo. The GLVC Championship format includes 54 holes of stroke play over the first two days, with 36 holes scheduled for Sunday and the final 18 on Monday. The top four teams following stroke play will advance to medal/match play on Tuesday to determine the team champion. The individual medalist will be crowned based on the results of stroke play.
