Mackenzi Matthews

Mackenzi Matthews graduated with her BA in political science and public policy in 2021. Since then, she obtained an MA in political science and government from American University. She spent 3 years at the National Governors Association as a policy coordinator and legislative associate. In September, she started working at the US House of Representatives as a Legislative Assistant. Her legislative portfolio includes: agriculture, arts, childcare, cryptocurrency, education, financial services, housing, small business, tax.

UIS Women’s Basketball Heads to Parkside

The Illinois Springfield women's basketball team hits the road on Tuesday for a non-conference matchup at Wisconsin-Parkside. Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
Illinois Springfield (4-6, 1-3 GLVC)
UIS enters the Parkside game coming off an 87-76 home victory over Roosevelt on Sunday at TRAC. The Prairie Stars built a commanding early lead with a 25-9 first quarter and carried a 51-31 advantage into halftime.
