Leslie Berkley, M.S. has a B.S. in Community Health Education (UIUC, 1979) an M.S. in Human Resources (National Lewis University 1982) and is a CADC. She is self employed in the field of Substance Abuse Counseling and has been so for over seventeen (17) years. Leslie has been working in the field of Substance Abuse for over twenty (20) years and prior to that was employed as a caseworker for the Cook County Social Service Department.
Wayne Gardner, J.D. was admitted to the Illinois bar in November of 1992 after spending time as a law clerk for several firms. He was hired by the Secretary of State’s office in 1993 as a Legal Advisor I. He currently works as a formal hearing officer as well as a prosecutor and computer repair person.
Richard Krajewski, M.A., LCPC earned his M.A. degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch University in Keene, New Hampshire in 1997. He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (2001-present). For the last 15 years he has been employed by the 18th Judicial Circuit, DuPage County Probation & Court Services Department. He currently supervises the DUI Evaluation program for DuPage County. Prior to his work with the DUI Evaluation Unit, Mr. Krajewski provided Multi-Systemic Therapy for DuPage County’s Juvenile Probation Department, and he was employed by Linden Oaks Hospital’s Child and Adolescent Residential and Acute Care Units.

George K. Rafeedie, MPA, CSADC has more than 40 years’ experience in behavioral healthcare. He is a retired USAF Captain where he spent twenty-one years providing and developing substance abuse services. He has worked in community-based programs in Illinois and Missouri as a counselor, DUI assessor, clinical coordinator, program and executive director in variety of settings that include outpatient, residential, and methadone treatment. George came to DHS/ DASA in 2001 and monitors all categories of DASA licensed programs with a focus on intervention services. As the DUI Program Liaison he provides multiple trainings on DUI issues and assists in the management of electronic DUI Service Reporting System (eDSRS).
Erika Young, M.S. has a B.S. in education from Eastern Illinois University (2002) and a M.S. in education with an emphasis in curriculum & instruction from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale (2004). She was a teacher before being hired by the Secretary of State’s office in 2005 as the Supervisor of Southern Operations for the Department of Administrative Hearings, Formal Division, in Mt. Vernon. She has more than 10 years of experience as a formal hearing officer, reviewer, and manager within the Department.
