UIS Splits Doubleheader with UMSL to Open Series

The UIS baseball team split a doubleheader with Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) on Friday, winning the opener 10-7 before dropping the second game 10-7 in seven innings. The Prairie Stars are now 9-10 overall and 4-5 in Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play, while the Tritons improved to 17-7 overall and 7-3 in the GLVC.

UIS Softball Hosts Missouri S&T and Drury This Weekend

The Illinois Springfield softball team will look to extend its perfect 9-0 home record this weekend. The Prairie Stars will host Missouri S&T on Saturday and Drury on Sunday, with both doubleheaders starting at noon. UIS is on a strong streak, winning seven of its last eight games.
Illinois Springfield (17-10, 5-3 GLVC)
In their most recent home appearance, the Prairie Stars defeated Parkside 6-0 and 6-5 in a midweek non-conference doubleheader.

Seeking proposals for Chester Fund projects

It is time to collect ideas for project proposals for the Chester Fund. This is an endowed fund provided to the University of Illinois to be used for the purchase of items or commodities that will add to the attractiveness of the University to visitors, such as rare books, works of art and museum items/pieces. Successfully funded prior projects at UIS include: the welcome mural in Enrollment Management; artwork for the new Library Commons; interior and external artwork for the Student Union; and the Lincoln statue. |
